What does a supercharger do?
When you use a supercharger, the density of air entering the cylinder is increased. An increase in the density of air in the engine leads to an increase in mass of air entering the cylinder. This air, which has a heavier mass, is compressed in the cylinders when the engine is inducted. The compression allows more oxygen for combustion.
